Blind Tiger Record Club Podcast

Jan 31, 2023

This is a Special Event episode of the Blind Tiger Record Club Podcast.  The regular hosts, David W. Williams, and Kevin Lee, are joined by newcomer Jonathan Hibma to discuss the Blind Tiger Record Club's Best Vinyl of 2022.

In this episode, the panel discusses the "Top 20" best vinyl of 2022 in numerical order.  The albums are picked by a panel that consists of B.T.R.C. Staff, guest panelists, artists, and producers.  We briefly discuss the albums that scored eleven through twenty, and then dive into a deeper discussion on the albums that landed in the top ten spots.

All twenty albums are with song examples and performance notes.  It's a great way to catch up on any albums you may have missed that were released over the last year.

Here are the albums included on this episode of both the Blind Tiger Record Club Podcast:

And The Dead, First Aid Kit - Palomino, Mike Campbell & Dirty Knobs - External Combustion, Bruce Springsteen - Only The Strong Survive, Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You, Panic at the Disco - Viva Las Vengeance, Taylor Swift - Midnights, The Interrupters - In The Wild, Zach Bryan - American Heartbreak, Spoon - Lucifer On The Sofa, Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Cool It Down, Nothing More - Spirits, Zachary Williams - Dirty Camaro, The Wild Feathers - Alvarado, Ozzy Osbourne - Patient Number 9, The Vapors - New Clear Day, The Architects - the classic symptoms of a broken spirit, Marcus King - Young Blood, Weird Nightmare - Weird Nightmare, Shinedown - Planet Zero, Maggie Rogers - Surrender, Bell & Sebastian - A Bit Of Previous, Ashley Mcbryde - Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, Jack White - Fear of the Dawn and Entering Into Heaven, and MORE...

Whether or not you are a member of Blind Tiger Record Club, the B.T.R.C. Podcast is a great way to get introduced to some new artists and discover some albums that you may not be familiar with.  All the music in our subscription program and that we discuss on this podcast are on vinyl and have been released in the last 30 - 60 days.  Most vinyl discussed on this episode were released in 2022.  The podcast is designed to be a discovery platform for new music "on vinyl", but even if you do not collect or listen to vinyl, it's still a fun way to explore new music.
